Prof. Dong Yunmei, male, born in 1936, academician of CAS, researcher of the software research institution of CAS and the Ph. D. Professor, the professor in Jilin University.

He is one of the earliest persons who research in computer software field. Recently, he is mainly engaged in researches into the software specification and software design method, the obtainment and reuse of formula specification. He initiated a grammar conclusion method based on reuse and a new recursive function theory (CFRF).He won the first prize of Scientific Progress of CAS and the second prize of the national Scientific Progress. He has trained many postgraduates and doctors.

Prof. Dayou Liu, male, born July of 1942. He was granted Master Degree in 1981 and qualified as a PhD Tutor in 1993. He is the Dean of the Software College of Jilin University, also a Member of the Subject Appraisement Group of the Degree-Assignment Committee of the National State Department、the Syndic of the Computer Science Academy in China、the Director of the Computer Science Academy of Jilin Province, the Vice Director of Committee of Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition of the Computer Science Academy in China、the Vice Director of Knowledge Engineering Committee of the Academy of the Artificial Intelligence in China.

His research interests mainly include Knowledge Engineering and Expert System, Multi Agent、Mobile Agents System and Intelligent Agent, Spatial-Temporal Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, Data Structure and Computing Algorithm, Rough Set and Data Mining, Data Structure and Computing Algorithm.

As a project principal, Professor Liu has accomplished about 40 national or ministerial/ provincial projects, 20 of which are National 863 High-Tech Programs or National Fund Projects. He has also published about 200 articles, more than 100 of which are referenced by SCI、EI and ISTP, 2 monographs and 4 textbooks. The prizes He has been awarded include: one 3rd prize of the National S&T Progress Award, two 1st prize of the Ministerial and Provincial S&T progress Award, three 2nd prize of the Ministerial and Provincial S&T progress Award, two 3rd prize of the Ministerial and Provincial S&T progress Award, one 3rd prize of the Changchun City S&T Progress Award, one 1st Prize for Outstanding Teaching Achievements by Jilin Province, one 2nd prize of the excellent teaching materials of State Education Commission and prize of excellent National Top Course, etc.

Prof. Ju Jiubin was born in 1935, professor, Ph.D. supervisor. From 1979 to 1982, he was doing research on distributed computing as a visiting scholar at University of Sussex in England. In 1994, he was doing research on Internet technology and its applications as a visiting scholar at University of Queensland in Australia.

He is the previous Dean of Computer Science Department at Jilin University. Currently, he is a professor of College of Computer Science and Technology, Jilin University. Member, NCRE Committee for Education Ministry. Member, National Advanced Computer Science Education Steering Committee for Education Ministry,Member, Chinese Computer Association Council.

He has Completed many projects supported by National Key Technologies R&D Program, “863” High-tech R&D projects, and CNSF etc. He has been awarded Electronic Ministry Special Class Award once, National Education Ministry Second Class Award once and National Education Ministry Third Class Award three times. He has Nine works and more than one hundred papers published. Magnum opus is Distributed Computation System and Air Fleet Computation.

Prof. Jin Chengzhi, Male, born in 1935, Professor & Doctoral Supervisor He started his research and instruction in computer software from the year 1961, since then he has been engaged in the research of program theory, software formalization and software new techniques. Professor Jin has gained high academic attainments in compiler techniques, formal semantics, program analysis and Monad theory and techniques.

He is the previous Dean of Computer Science Department at Jilin University. Currently, he is a professor of College of Computer Science and Technology, Jilin University. Prof. Jin Chunzhao, male, born in 1937, Ph.D. supervisor. Prof. Jin has been working in Jilin University since he graduated from Mathematics Department of Jilin University in 1956. He studied in Moscow University from 1959 to 1963. In July 1991,Prof. Jin was appointed to the position of professor, and then was promoted to be a Ph.D. Supervisor in July 1996. He is one of the academic leaders of Computer Software and Theory direction of Jilin University. Prof. Jin's research interest focuses on software engineering, including object oriented method, software automation, software reuse, software engineering environment and computer aided software engineering. He has taken charge and accomplished six National Key Problem Projects and National Natural Science Foundation Projects , and has been awarded a 1st class prize for Science and Technology Progress by National Ministry of Science and Technology and a 3rd class prize for Science and Technology Progress by National Ministry of Education. He has published more than 30 academic papers in important national journals and international conference proceedings.

Prof. Yuan Senmiao, PhD supervisor, vice directory of Computer Society of Jilin Province. Interest: database and intelligent network.

He has undertook four NSFC projects, one project of national '863' program for development of high technology, Two National Key Technologies R&D Program projects, and other scores of scientific research projects at provincial and ministerial levels. He has obtained one second-class National Science and Technology Advance Award, One first prize in scientific and technological progress of the Ministry of Machine-Building Industry, and many other rewards at provincial and ministerial levels. In the latest 5 years, he has published more than ten papers in “Chinese Journal of Computer”, “Journal of Software”, etc. and more than seventy papers on other domestic periodical and international academic conference. He has published many textbooks, such as “data structure”, “database principles”, etc. Now, he is undertaking the NSFC projects, main research on the intellectual data processing theory based on Bayesian network and the bases theories and method of data mining and information intelligent retrieval based on consequence.

Prof. Pang Yunjie, PhD. supervisor He has ever been Committeeman of political Consultation Conference of jilin province, AI Assn. Member the Standing Council of China Image Processing & Computer Graphics.

Interests: Computer Graphics, Image Processing, Artificial Intelligent. He took the lead in studying computer painting and computer animation in china.

He accomplished a National Key Project of Science and Technology in the 6th 5 years plan, and Projects of National fund for Natural Science etc. The works were reported in news of US, Japan , Canada etc. Published more than one hundred Papers and 5 books. Prof. Zhou Chunguang, male, born in November 1947, PhD, professor, supervisor of PhD candidates, Dean of College of Computer Science and Technology of Jilin University.

He was awarded Excellent Expert of Jilin Province and the Governmental Subsidy from the State Department. He has many pluralities of national and international academic organizations. His research interests include related theories, models and algorithms of artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems and evolutionary computations, and applications of machine taste and smell, image manipulation, commercial intelligence, modern logistic, bioinformatics, and biometric identification based on computational intelligence.

He was and has been with responsibility for 1 key project and 3 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, 1 “15 key problem” project, 1 “863” project, 7 projects funded by the provincial and national departments, and many other projects from enterprises. He was awarded 2 second class and 3 third class scientific and technological awards at provincial and ministerial levels. He published 1 book and more than 100 papers including more than 20 indexed by SCI and more than 40 indexed by EI. His publications are cited more than 116 times by journals. He also obtained 1 national invention patents and 4 software copyrights.

Prof. Sun Jigui, male, born in November 1962, PhD, PhD supervisor. Sun received his Ph. D. from Computer Science Department of Jilin University in 1993, and was promoted professor in July 1997. He studied in UK's Ulster University from 1997 to 1998. He is currently head of Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Symbolic Computation and Knowledge Engineering and associate dean of College of Computer Science and Technology, Jilin University. He is director of China Computer Association and committee member of the sub-division of computer science and technology for guiding higher education of the Ministry of Education.

Sun's research work focuses on intelligent information processing.

He has presided over or taken part in over 20 projects of state or provincial level. He has had over 110 research papers published and has been twice awarded the 2nd prize for technology advancement by the Ministry of Education. He has also been awarded excellent teacher's award by Jilin Province and state subsidy by the State Council. He is the principal of state excellent course. He is the Ministry of Education's Distinguished Talent for the New Century.

Prof. Liang Yanchun, male, born in November 1953, PhD, supervisor of PhD candidates. Liang Yanchun graduated from the Department of Mathematics of Jilin University in 1977. He was a visiting scholar in Manchester University of U.K. from 1990 to 1991, a visiting professor in National University of Singapore from 2000 to 2001, and a guest professor in Institute of High Performance Computing of Singapore from 2002 to 2004.

His research interests focus on computational intelligence and intelligence engineering, including related theories, models and algorithms of artificial neural networks, fuzzy systems and evolutionary computation, as well as applications of intelligent computational methods to combinational optimization, control of ultrasonic motors, MEMS modeling, prediction of economic time series and bioinformatics.

He was and has been with responsibility for 4 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and 6 projects funded by the provincial and national departments. He was awarded 4 scientific and technological awards from provincial and national departments, and the Governmental Subsidy from the State Department. He published 1 book and more than 170 papers including more than 40 indexed by SCI and more than 60 indexed by EI.

Prof. Wang Zhengxuan, male born in 1945, PhD Supervisor. Graduated from the Department of Mathematics and Mechanics of Peking University in 1970. Graduated from the Department of Computer Science of Jilin University and received Master degree in 1981. He is currently a professor of the College of Computer Science and Technology at Jilin University. He is a member of the editorial board of Journal of Computer-Aided Design & Computer Graphics.

His research interests include computer graphics, computer painting and animation, image processing, generating and rendering of fractal, computational geometry etc.

He has published more than 60 papers and 5 books. He was awarded the 3rd prize for technology advancement by the Ministry of Education. He was awarded 4 scientific and technological awards from JiLin province.

Prof. Liu Lei, male, born in 1960, PhD Supervisor.

His research interests center on program theory, programming languages and their implementation techniques, and software automation etc. He has achieved a series of national leading results, especially in formal methods, partial evaluation techniques for procedural languages, and program abstraction etc.

He has been in charge of or participated in four projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation, two projects funded by provincial or ministerial organizations, three cooperation projects. He has published about 50 papers and 3 books, of which 14 papers are cited by three famous indexing organizations. He has been awarded BaoGang Excellent Instructor Prize. He has also undertaken several projects aiming at reforming instruction methods and establishing superior courses, and achieved three provincial awards.

Prof. Li Wenhui,born in 1961, Ph.D, PhD. supervisor. Studied in BREMEN University of Germany as a Doctor student from 1991 to 1994. He was in QianYe Industry University of Japan as visiting professor from 1998 to 1999.

His research interests include computer graphics, image processing and multimedia techniques. Recently he has been the leader or participant of six national and provincial projects.He has published about 100 papers in national and foreign journals and international conferences, of which 15 papers were indexed by SCI, 7 papers were indexed by EI and 2 papers were indexed by ISTP.

Prof. Zuo Wanli, male, born in December 1957, received MS degree in 1985 (now Ph.D. candidate), PhD supervisor. As a senior visiting scholar, engaged in collaborative research in Louisiana State University (USA) from 1996-1997. Member of System Software Committee of China's Computer Federation, prominent young and middle-aged specialist of Jilin Province.

Main research area covers database theory, machine learning, data mining and Web mining, Web search engines.

As principle responsible, undertook/undertaking 2 national NSFC programs, 2 departmental or provincial programs. Published more than 40 papers in key Chinese journals or international conferences, 8 of which are cited by SCI/EI/ISTP. Published 3 books by he Higher Education Press. Prof. Liu Yanheng, male, born in April, 1958, PhD, PhD supervisor.Supported by National study abroad foundation committee, been to Motorola Company in Canada(2000.7-2001.4), the University of British Columbia in Canada(1998.8~1999.8) and University of Hull in England(1988.9—1989.12) for science research collaboration and as a visiting scholar.

Main research fields: Network communication and protocol design, QoS mechanism in Mobile IP network, Policy-based network management and network intrusion detection system, and so on. He has taken charge of 12 research subjects of ministry or province's, taken part in research work in National natural science foundation and 863 subjects, among the production, one is chosen in the “Chinese eighth five years' science research achievements ”.As the 1st author, published 33 papers in “Journal of Software”, “Journal of Computer Research and Development”, “Journal of Communication”,10 of those were indexed by SCI and EI; main editor of 4 textbooks.

Prof. Liu Shufen, female, born in July 1950. PhD supervisor. She is the member of three international academic conferences program committee, director of Jilin theory and management of science seminar.

Her researches mainly focus on computer network and security technology.

As the director, she responses for many science research projects, include: 1 National Key Technology R&D Program, 1 subtask of National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program), 1 Science and Technology Production Generalization Program, a project of Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense, a Momentous Project of Jilin Province, a Keystone Project of Jilin Province, 6 province and department class projects, and more than 20 enterprise cooperative projects, most of them have been successfully finished, the others are in progress. She has published 36 academic articles (5 of them are included in EI) and 7 monographs and teaching materials and has obtained 1 patent, 1 3rd Rank Award of Scientific & Technological Achievement Award of Jilin Province, 1 Excellent Electrified Education Teaching Material Award, 2 Changchun Invention Awards . In recent 5 years, she managed more 4 millions research governmental funds.

Prof. Zhang Changhai, male, born in 1949,PhD supervisor, Graduated from the Department of Computational Mathematics of JiLin University in 1975.

Main research fields include software automation.

Prof. Hu Liang, male, born in Changchun in 1968. He is the vice Dean of Computer Science College, Jilin University. Currently, he is a professor of College of Computer Science and Technology, Jilin University.

Prof. Fang Zhiyi, male, born in 1957, boned in Changchun, Jilin, P. R. of China. Ph. D. of computer software of Jilin University. As senior scholar worked in Queensland University (1995-1996), Australia and UCSB (2000-2001), USA.

Main research fields include distributed computing systems, computer system architecture, parallel computing systems and electronic arts.

Since 1989, finished 11 projects in distributed/parallel computing systems and published 40papers and 3 books. Also got 6 rewards of science and technology from several bureaus of China government.

Prof. Li Xiongfei, male, born in January 1963 in Jilin, is now a Doctor, PhD supervisor in Jilin University. Now, he is an IEEE Society member, the international bidding expert of Ministry of Education's electromechanical project.

As a younger academic leader in Database and Intelligent Network direction, he has always been engaging the research work in knowledge discovery, engineering database system, network computing, etc. Now, the group led by Li is devoting to the research work of the theory and technology of the embedded database, data mining and information fusion technology, extensive simulation and vary large database analyses technology based on network computing.

In recent years, he has undertaken four NSFC projects, one National “863” Plan project and has taken charge of one NSFC projects, six projects of Ministry of Science, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Public Security, etc. He has published the book “Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery” and thirty-seven papers on Academic publications and International Conference, such as “Chinese Journal of Computer”, etc. He takes charge of the courses construction work of “the theory of database” and is the editor in chief of two teaching materials.

Prof. Ouyang Dantong, female, born in 1968, got doctor's degree in 1998, PhD supervisor. The research areas include model-based diagnosis and automated reasoning.

As a key member, she has accomplished fourteen projects of the country or the ministry of education or Jilin Province. As a person in charge, she has fulfilled one NSFC project and two projects of the ministry of education and one project supported by China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. From 2001 to 2004,as a vice leader, she undertook two projects supported by the Chinese National High Technology Research and Development Plan. Now she takes on a project supported by NSFC Major Research Program and a one supported by “Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University” of the ministry of education. She has published more than forty papers in key journals with one SCI indexed paper and 5 EI indexed papers.

Prof. Qin Guihe, male, born in 1962, PhD Supervisor. He received the BS (1985) in computer engineering from the Dalian University of Technology, ME (1988) in computer engineering and PhD(1997) in communication and electronic systems from the Jilin University of Technology. From 1988 to 2000, he was on the faculty of Jilin University of Technology. He worked in the University of Arizona, US, and KAIST, Korea, as visiting scholar in 1999 and 2001 respectively.

He works in the area of real-time and embedded systems with others or by himself, he has finished more than 30 research projects, and has more than 60 peer reviewed scientific articles and 2 books published. Currently, he is on faculty of Jilin University as a professor of Computer Science and Technology.

Prof. Zhao Hongwei, PhD, born in 1962. He is currently a professor and a PhD supervisor at Jilin University. In 2002, he jointed the Computer Software and Theory Postdoctoral Work Station of Jilin University as a post doctor. He is a member of Simulation Computer and Software committee in Chinese System Simulation Association.

Research interests are intelligent information systems and embedded system technology, and computer image processing and visual technology.

Finished two National Natural Science Fund projects, three national ‘863' projects, one Postdoctoral Fund project, and nine projects supported by province or ministry governments. He was honored the Mechanical Industry Ministry Excellent Young Teacher Award, and two Jilin Province Science and Technology Progress Awards. He is author of 52 papers and 8 books, and has one patent.
